First time at Dancehall Brunch? Welcome. Below is everything you need to walk in ready — from house rules to what is on the menu.
Dancehall Brunch is presented by Bokoesam and DJ Steesko — two artists with a long history in the Dutch dancehall and Caribbean music scene. They put their name and their network on the line for every edition.
Dancehall and Caribbean music played the way it should be, with real Jamaican & Dutch Caribbean street food (Truki Pan) from Oceanz and Caribbean Grill. We host every few months at different venues across Amsterdam — sometimes indoor, sometimes outdoor — but the energy is always the same: real music, good food, and a grown crowd that comes for the whole experience.
No gimmicks. No poses. We do this because we love it.

All our food is catered by two crews who do this right: Oceanz brings the proper Jamaican cooking — jerk, oxtail, plantain, rice & peas, ackee — straight from the yard tradition. Caribbean Grill brings the wider Caribbean dishes — curry, festival, steak and grilled chicken from the open fire. Together they cover the whole island plate.
Food is served from 16:00 until it runs out — so come early to make sure you eat. Vegetarian and vegan options always available. Allergies? Let the staff know — we will sort you out.
We keep our events safe and easy. A few simple rules so everyone has a good time.
Everyone welcome — we do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or aggression. None of that, no exceptions.
Always bring valid ID — passport, ID card or driver licence. No ID = no entry.
Drug checks at the door. Any violation = straight out the event and police informed.
Ask people before you film them — especially on the dance floor. Privacy first.
Only drinks bought at the bar. No outside bottles or glasses.
Staff, security and host have the final word. Work with us, for your own safety.
